As the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) Foundation’s signature soirée, Le Bal Rouge is an important fundraising event and a night to remember. At $1000 per ticket, this black tie event features live performances, a silent auction, and celebrity emcees.

The events team of the MUHC Foundation hired me to create a visual identity worthy of the event’s status. This included redesigning the logo, establishing a brand for the event, and designing an invitation and sponsorship booklet. I created an art deco motif to communicate the event’s glamour and sophistication. Upon seeing the finished product, the Foundation commissioned a matching RSVP card design, and later they hired me to create the evening’s program and sponsorship banner.

Le Bal Rouge’s new visual identity was a huge success — the events team saw an increase of 245% in sponsorship alone, compared to 2018. Individual ticket sales and corporate tables also increased significantly.
